Welcome to the Comenius-Project “Travelling – The Way to Europe”

Eight schools from six different countries will cooperate in a project called “Travelling – The Way to Europe”. It will be a student-centred project coordinated and mediated by teachers. English will be the main language of coordination and publication. One of the central aims of the project is the improvement of the students' language skills by creating non-artificial contexts for the use of these secondary languages. Students will be working together in project groups to produce, exchange and translate texts in different languages.

The first product will be travel guides of the schools’ regions aimed at and written by young people. Other projects include the pilgrimage routes crossing Europe, cultural identities and the history of migration in the country/region. All results will be displayed in a common e-paper. To achieve this, the students must first research facts about their region, produce and translate a variety of texts, and communicate to ensure a comprehensive common product.

During the process, the pupils will widen their linguistic experience and enhance their skills in interdisciplinary approaches and multilingual communication as well as being provided with an intercultural and creative perspective on text production in particular. Programming and facilitating the necessary internet tools and designing an attractive platform for the contents displayed are further tasks.
